Anansi Boys

Written by Neil Gaiman in one of my favorite books that he's ever written.
This follows the story of Charlie and his long lost brother as they discover that they're the sons of the god Anansi!

Dark fantasy, humor, and social commentary abounds in the book. Definitely a must read for anyone. Special note: Not required, but you'll get more out of it if you read American Gods first.

Paradise Snare (Han Solo trilogy part 1)

As much as I love Star Wars, it can be frustrating for them to go on and on about Light Side vs. Dark Side; thankfully it's a sigh of relief to have a book that deals with good old fashioned smuggling!

Enter Han Solo, my favorite character from the original trilogy. This and the next two books cover events before the movies as we see how he became the captain of the Millennium Falcon.
A great read, if you love a good old fashioned adventure.
